Terms of Service — The Degree Drop

1. Agreement to Terms

By booking a pickup or using any service provided by The Degree Drop (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Services

The Degree Drop provides valet storage services for students in Calgary, Alberta. This includes pickup of belongings from your residence, secure storage, and delivery back to your chosen address at the end of the storage period.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to book our services. By using our platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Booking and Payment

All bookings must be made and paid for in advance through our website.
Prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes.
Payment is processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your card details.
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled pickup are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable.

5. Prohibited Items

The following items are strictly prohibited from storage:

Perishable food, plants, or living organisms
Hazardous materials (flammables, chemicals, explosives)
Illegal substances or items
Cash, jewellery, or irreplaceable documents
Firearms or weapons of any kind

We reserve the right to refuse storage of any item at our sole discretion.

6. Liability

While we take every precaution to handle your belongings with care, The Degree Drop's liability is limited to the replacement value of items, up to a maximum of $200 CAD per item and $1,000 CAD per order, unless additional coverage has been purchased. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, normal wear, or damage to prohibited items.

7. Storage Period

Storage periods are agreed upon at booking. Items not retrieved within 30 days of the agreed delivery window may be subject to additional fees or, after written notice, donated or disposed of.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
